A former Miami Dolphins player has found himself in jail again

The Orange County Sheriff Office arrested Dimitri Patterson late Monday night for an active felony warrant issued on Nov. 1 out of Miami-Dade County. The charges from that warrant, according to his booking log: battery and culpable negligence.

This news and arrest comes almost nine months after Patterson became combative while trying to flee a Miami-Dade County courtroom in August. It took five police officers to tackle him and get him under control.

Patterson, 34, spent nine years in the NFL and had a two-year stint with the Dolphins from 2012 to 2013. He played eight games during his stint in Miami, recording 24 tackles and four interceptions. He retired prior to the 2014 season.
