Florida counties began the process of recounting ballots on Saturday, Nov. 10 after state officials ordered recounts in the races for U.S. Senate, governor and agricultural commissioner. Following a five-day machine recount of the more than 8.3 million votes cast in the Nov. 6 election, the challenge an unprecedented statewide hand recount was called for U.S. Senate race between incumbent Bill Nelson and Gov. Rick Scott, and also the race for agriculture commissioner between Nicole “Nikki” Fried and Matt Caldwell.
