Do you hope the Miami Heat signs free agent LeBron James this summer? It would be LeBron 2.0 in South Florida.

The question, admittedly, may prove moot. DraftKings’ next-team betting odds for LeBron have him joining Steph Curry in Golden State as the favorite at -275, and his returning to his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers next at +150. Miami is third but a longshot at +1000.

Heat reportedly has an interest, but will it prove mutual? So, a reminder we are not asking here if the Heat will get LeBron but rather if you hope they do.

All reading this surely recall LeBron played four seasons for Miami in 2010-14, helping the Heat reach four straight NBA Finals and win two championships. But he was in his prime at age 25 in arriving then. He is 41 now -- though he just declared he will play next season, not retire, and that he wants to move on from the Los Angeles Lakers.

James is obviously still pretty great; he averaged 20.9 points and was an all-star yet again last season. But just as obviously he has lost a step to time. And he’s pricey, coming off a two-year, $101 million deal that was fully guaranteed. Will his demand be in that ballpark again? Is he still worth it? And are some Heat fans still upset with the way James left Miami in ‘14 after a seeming falling out with Pat Riley?

Factoring everything, including Miami’s recent blockbuster trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo, do you hope the Heat now makes a run at and gets LeBron, too?

As always you may vote as many times as you like or until your fingers ache. Ready?Go!

Previous Poll Dance result: Strong support Heat’s Giannis trade: We asked, “How do you grade the Miami Heat’s trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo?” Solid response. You said: A--Biggest get since LeBron in 2010! 37%; C--Maybe gave up too much? 25%; B--Gave up a lot but still worth it 24%; and D--Giannis’ age & health a concern 13%. The A-grade not only earned a plurality, but A/B together scored a 61 percent majority.
