Greg Cote’s Poll Dance: What country will win the men’s World Cup? Vote now

Pretend I just handed you a $100 bill. The catch is you have to bet it all one team to win the men’s 2026 FIFA World Cup. Who you got? Or think of it like this: You have the first overall pick in the winner-take-all World Cup pool. What team you going with?

This Poll Dance is asking what country you honestly believe will be champion. Try to forget where you were born or who you hope wins. I know many in South Florida love Colombia. Obviously many others will be chanting, “U.S.A!” (or better yet, “Let’s gooooo States!")

But in this case the challenge is to vote with head, not heart. And if you just can’t bring yourself to do it -- if you believe with all your might that Curacao will win it all -- well, that’s why the “Somebody else” poll category was invented.

Our poll lists the six nations that are the top six betting favorites to win it all via DraftKings, but they are listed alphabetically, not by odds. As always you may vote as many times as you like or until your fingers ache. Ready?Go!

GREG COTE’S POLL DANCE: What team do you predict will win the World Cup?

Previous Poll Dance result: Interest is high for soccer’s World Cup: What is your interest level in the June 11-July 19 soccer World Cup? Big response. And you said: High interest 29%; None. The World What? 25%; Avid/Maximum interest 19%; Some interest but minimal 14%; and Casual/moderate interest 13%. Our interpretation? Soccer can be polarizing, as evidenced by 25% having no interest. But maximum or high interest combined to almost double that, so ... soccer wins!
