I won’t go as far as to say Pat Riley has become a polarizing figure in South Florida (this poll result will speak for itself), but I’d say the past three seasons have raised doubts whether the Miami Heat will become championship contenders under his club presidency.

In fairness it doesn’t all fall on Riley. Main owner Micky Arison, CEO Nick Arison, general manager/cap guru Andy Elisburg and coach Erik Spoelstra all have a say in major roster decisions and path forward. But Riley is still the guy out front on that, the guy talking about not tanking, about Bam Adebayo being untouchable in trade talks and so forth.

So what’s your confidence level that Riley, the NBA Hall of Famer now 81, can lead the Heat to an elusive fourth championship or at least contend for one again?

As always, you may vote as many times as you like or until your fingers ache. Go!

GREG COTE’S POLL DANCE: Are you confident Pat Riley can make Miami Heat a championship contender again?

Previous Poll Dance result: Split verdict but some disappointment on Dolphins’ No. 1 draft pick: We asked: “How do you grade the Dolphins picking Kadyn Proctor 12th overall in NFL Draft?” Very good response, thanks. You said: D/Disappointing 50%, B/Good 24%, C/Fair 16%, and A/Excellent 10%.
