Cote’s Poll Dance: What was South Florida’s No. 1 sports story of 2025? Vote now!

What was South Florida’s biggest sports story of 2025?

We’ve culled through 12 months of joy and agony, failure and success (so you don’t have to), to come up with our seven finalists. Because there are multiple events obviously worthy, in this Poll Dance you may vote for up to three (3) choices!

Today’s hopeless request: Don’t be partisan with this and go automatically to which choice reps your favorite sport or team. Instead, endeavor to stand back, look at the list dispassionately, and judge which three events honestly were the biggest of the year in your judgment.

And, as always, you may vote as many times as you like or until your fingers ache. Go!

GREG COTE’S POLL DANCE: What was South Florida’s biggest sports story of 2025? (Vote for as many as 3!)

Note: Totals will add up to more than 100 percent because each voter may select up to three choices.

Previous Poll Dance result: Dolfans wants brand new QB in ‘26: We asked: “Who do you hope is the Miami Dolphins’ starting QB to open 2026 season?” Good response. You answered: Someone not currently on team 46%, Quinn Ewers 22%, Bring back 64-year old Dan Marino 16%, Tua Tagovailoa 14%, and Zach Wilson 2%.
