Cote: Pats’ Maye wins Week 13, Tua tumbles in Herald’s latest NFL QB Rankings

PATRIOTS’ DRAKE MAYE WINS WEEK 13 TITLE, SETS UP WILD FINISH AND 3-WAY RACE FOR SEASON CROWN IN LATEST MIAMI HERALD NFL QUARTERBACK RANKINGS: The 28th season of the Herald’s Passer Success System (PASS) rankings saw New England’s Drake Maye win Week 13 honors with a 42.10-point game. Oddly, it’s his first weekly title of the year despite leading the Herald’s NFL Quarterback Rankings overall for a sixth straight week. Maye’s big week enabled him to stake roughly a 27-point lead entering his Week 14 bye. That makes it a virtual three-way dead-heat among Maye and primary chasers Dak Prescott of Cowboys and Matthew Stafford of the Rams, with Lion Jared Goff also in the current hunt. Byes conclude with four in this week 14. An asterisk (*) below indicates the three Top 20 QBs who have yet to have their bye. Meanwhile, Dolphin Tua Tagovailoa’s bad game this past Sunday costs him two spots in a downward move to 19th place overall. Our ratings system is cumulative, not percentile-based, rewarding players who are consistently productive and avoid injury or benching. Bye weeks negatively impact affected players but even out over the course of the season. Our formula factors accuracy, passing yardage, touchdown/interception ratio and team result. These are passer ratings per se and do not include a QB’s running statistics. The 2025 Top 20 (plus other Dolphins) entering Week 14:
