RAMS’ MATTHEW STAFFORD WINS WEEK 12 AND NOW IN PASSING LANE TO OVERTAKE PATRIOT DRAKE MAYE FOR SEASON LEAD IN LATEST MIAMI HERALD NFL QUARTERBACK RANKINGS: The 28th season of the Herald’s Passer Success System (PASS) rankings saw the Rams’ Matthew Stafford win Week 12 with a 42.65-point game to become the year’s first double winner of a weekly title in the Herald’s latest NFL Quarterback Rankings. He previously reigned in Week 4. More important, Stafford is now within seven points of the Patriots’ Drake Maye for the season lead with a game in hand, because Maye still has a bye week ahead. Byes conclude with four in Week 14. Three QBs in the top 20 are affected — and one happens to be Maye at a now tenous No. 1. Dolphin Tua Tagovailoa, on a bye last week, slips one spot to 17th overall.
