Cote: SF’s Jones wins Week 10, season race close in Herald NFL QB rank. And Tua?

MAC JONES TAKES WEEK 10 TITLE, DRAKE MAYE MAINTAINS NO. 1 OVERALL IN TIGHT RACE AND TUA HOLDS STEADY IN MIAMI HERALD’S LATEST NFL QUARTERBACK RANKINGS: The 28th season of the Herald’s Passer Success System (PASS) rankings saw the Niners’ Mac Jones win the Week 10 title with a 48.95-point game, edging Lion Jared Goff by less than two full points. Jones becomes the 10th different weekly winner, a highly unusual degree of parity. Dolphin Tua Tagovailoa holds steady once again at 16th overall, while New England’s Drake Maye maintains No. 1 in the season Top 20 for a third straight week, though narrowly. Maye is in a virtual dead-heat with Ram Matthew Stafford, and three others are in the passing lane-close. Our ratings system is cumulative, not percentile-based, rewarding players who are consistently productive and avoid injury or benching. Bye weeks negatively impact affected players but even out over the course of the season. Our formula factors accuracy, passing yardage, touchdown/interception ratio and team result. These are passer ratings per se and do not include a QB’s running statistics. The 2025 Top 20 (plus other Dolphins) entering Week 11:
