Cote: Cincy’s Flacco wins Week 7, Fins’ Tua tumbles in Herald NFL QB rankings

CINCY’S FLACCO WINS CLOSE FIGHT FOR WEEK 7 TITLE, TUA TUMBLES FURTHER IN MIAMI HERALD’S LATEST NFL QUARTERBACK RANKINGS: The 28th season of the Herald’s Passer Success System (PASS) rankings saw the Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Flacco win a photo finish for the Week 7 crown, his 46.10-point game a fraction of a point better than Kansas City’s Patrick and Philly’s Jalen Hurts in the closest race this season. Flacco becomes the seventh different weekly winner, while Dallas’ Dak Prescott maintains his overall No. 1 spot in the season standings for a fourth straight week. Meanwhile the Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa slips five more spots to 20th, barely hanging on in the top 20 off a minus performance that ranked as the NFL’s worst of the week. Our ratings system is cumulative, not percentile-based, rewarding players who are consistently productive and avoid injury or benching. Bye weeks negatively impact affected players, but byes even out over the course of the season. Our formula factors accuracy, passing yardage, touchdown/interception ratio and team result. These are passer ratings per se and do not include a QB’s running statistics. The 2025 Top 20 (plus other Dolphins) entering Week 8:
