Cote: Week 4 photo finish, new No. 1 overall in latest Miami Herald NFL QB rank

RAMS’ STAFFORD WINS WEEK 4 IN PHOTO FINISH, COWBOYS’ PRESCOTT VAULTS TO NO. 1 OVERALL IN LATEST MIAMI HERALD NFL QUARTERBACK RANKINGS: The 28th season of the Herald’s Passer Success System (PASS) rankings saw the tightest race of the year for Week 4 honors — and a new No. 1 overall. The Rams’ Matthew Stafford edged the Cowboys’ Dak Prescott by 49.75 points to 49.45 for the weekly honor, with the Packers’ Jordan Love a close third. Prescott rides consistency and rises to No. 1 overall for the season despite not having led in any one week. The Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa enjoyed a solid game but did not gain ground, holding steady in 19th place. Our ratings system is cumulative, not percentile-based, rewarding players who are consistently productive and avoid injury or benching. Our formula factors accuracy, passing yardage, touchdown/interception ratio and team result. These are passer ratings per se and do not include a QB’s running stats.
