Greg Cote’s Poll Dance: Will Dolphins QB Tua be healthy to play every game? Vote!
Most Miami Dolphins fans agree that, when healthy, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is good. Even more Dolfans know that, with Tua, “when healthy” is a dicey assumption.
He has played in every regular season game only once (2023) in his first five seasons. In total, he has started 62 of a possible 84 games, missing 26.2 percent. (He also has missed one of two playoff games.) Concussions of course have been the main cause -- to a degree the next one possibly ending his career is not a far-fetched concern.
For perspective, it is fairly common for QB1s to start all 17 games. Fourteen did in 2024, and two others missed a game late for non-injury reasons. So about half of all QBs typically start every game each year.
What is your confidence level that Tua will start in all 17 games this season, or not miss any games due to injury?
Be honest with yourself. Vote not what you hope, but what you predict. What would your money would bet on?
Vote as many times as you like or until your fingers ache.
