Greg Cote’s Poll Dance: Has transfer portal & NIL money made college basketball better or worse? Vote!
As the men’s and women’s NCAA Tournaments reach their championship games Sunday and Monday, the transfer portal and N.I.L. money have dramatically changed college basketball, in effect creating open free agency that sees top players routinely leave one team for another.
Some say it’s a good thing for the sport and certainly for players. Others say it has caused a free-for-all of chaos and instability. I argue the latter in this recent column, writing that the sport is broken and needs fixing. Am I right? Your say now.
How would you describe what the portal and N.I.L. have meant for you and your interest in college hoops?
The Poll Dance is back on the floor after a couple of weeks off, and you may vote as many times as you’d like or until your fingers get tired.
