Darnold wins Week 14 title, Burrow stays No. 1, Dolphins’ Tua keeps climbing in Herald NFL QB Top 20

USA Today Sports

VIKES’ DARNOLD EDGES BENGALS’ BURROW FOR WEEK 14 TITLE, BUT BURROW KEEPS OVERALL SEASON LEAD IN LATEST MIAMI HERALD NFL QUARTERBACK RANKINGS: Minnesota’s Sam Darnold edge Cincy’s Joe Burrow 53.35 points to 51.45 to win Week14 honors but Burrow holds onto the No. 1 spot in the overall season standings in the Miami Herald’s latest NFL Quarterback Rankings. Miami’s Tua Tagovailoa continues his hot streak with a 46.55-point game and vaults four more spots to 12th overall despite missing four games to a concussion. Byes are now finished so we have a level playing for the final four weeks — the home stretch for the 2024 season championship. Barring injuries, we project any of the top eight or nine QBs remain realistically in the hunt for the season crown. The Herald’s Passer Success System (PASS) rankings are in their 27th season after starting in 1998 with Steve Young the inaugural season winner. Our cumulative system rewards players who are consistently productive and avoid injury or benching. Because the rankings are cumulative (not percentile based), players on a bye week took a temporary hit that evens out over the course of a season. Our ratings formula factors accuracy, passing yardage, touchdown/interception ratio and team result. These are passer ratings per se and do not include a QB’s running statistics. The updated 2024 top 20 (plus other Dolphins) entering Week 15:
