Ravens’ Lamar Jackson wins Week 7 with Monday show & there’s new No. 1 overall in Herald NFL QB rank

BALTIMORE’S LAMAR JACKSON WINS WEEK 7 TITLE WITH BIG MONDAY NIGHT SHOW, AND THERE’S A NEW NO. 1 OVERALL FOR SEASON IN UPDATED MIAMI HERALD NFL QUARTERBACK RANKINGS: Week 7 in the Miami Herald NFL Quarterback Rankings reshaped entirely Monday night in Baltimore’s 41-31 win at Tampa Bay. From that game, Raven Lamar Jackson’s five-touchdown performance fashioned a 46.05-point game that wins the weekly title, while the Bucs’ Baker Mayfield did enough to lift to No. 1 overall in the season standings for the first time since Week 1. Because our ratings system is cumulative, not percentile-based, players on a bye week suffer a temporary hit that evens out over the course of a season. The Herald’s Passer Success System (PASS) rankings are in their 27th season after starting in 1998 with Steve Young the inaugural season champ. Our cumulative system rewards players who are consistently productive and avoid injury or benching. Our formula factors accuracy, passing yardage and touchdown/interception ratio as well as team result. These are passer ratings per se and do not include a QB’s running statistics. The updated 2024 top 20 (plus Dolphins) entering Week 8:
