See who snatched the Week 3 crown from Andy Dalton on Monday night in Miami Herald NFL QB Rankings
JOSH ALLEN’S BIG MONDAY NIGHT ROBS HEROIC ANDY DALTON OF WEEK 3 TITLE, GENO SMITH MAINTAINS OVERALL SEASON LEAD IN UPDATED MIAMI HERALD NFL QUARTERBACK RANKINGS: Buffalo’s Josh Allen scored a 46.15-point game Monday night to rob Carolina’s Andy Dalton (44.95) of the Week 3 title. Dalton had in turn edged the Jets’ Aaron Rodgers (44.05) in the Miami Herald’s latest NFL Quarterback Rankings. Seattle’s Geno Smith maintains his overall season lead, with Allen vaulting seven spots to No. 2. Meanwhile the Dolphins have quickly become an early non-factor in the 2024 QB race as injured Tua Tagovailoa drops from 20th to 28 in a free-fall that will continue at least three more games. The Herald’s Passer Success System (PASS) rankings are in their 27th season after starting in 1998 with Steve Young the inaugural season champion. Our ratings system is cumulative not percentile-based, rewarding players who are consistently productive and avoid injury or benching. Our ratings formula factors accuracy, passing yardage and touchdown/interception ratio as well as team result. These are passer ratings per se and do not include a QB’s running stats.
