NFL Week 7 takes off with an AFC East matchup that should do big ratings in South Florida as Dolfans try to figure out a scenario in which both teams could somehow lose. Two things summarize the disparity in this game. One: Tom Brady vs. Geno Smith. The other: the Pats’ plus-9 vs. Planes’ minus-9 on turnovers. Darrelle Revis, six years a Jet, faces his former team to add a dash of spice. Both teams are missing two key players to new injuries – NE without RB Stevan Ridley and LB Jerrod Mayo, NYJ sans LG Brian Winters and CB Dee Milliner – but Brady and the home field put Pats in better position to withstand that. Patriots offense has found its stride the past two weeks, and Brady is 6-0 with a 108 rating in Thursday night games. This game moves Rex Ryan a step closer to unemployment. Dare say, no coach needs humbling more.
