Emergency! The Miami Heat and Florida Panthers are making history -- representing South Florida in the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Final for the first time together -- and The Greg Cote Show podcast is celebrating with a special bonus episode, out now.

We drop a regular new episode every Monday but occasionally events demand a bonus, and here is the latest. It’s our first emergency episode since December 31, 2022.

Greg and Chris discuss the double-barrel postseason fun in our 22nd episode of 2023 and 168th overall, and we welcome you back as always.

This is only the 10th time in 77 years the same city or region has had teams in both the basketball and hockey championship rounds, and the Heat and Cats are trying to be the first to both win it all at the same season.

We discuss both the Heat-Denver and Panthers-Vegas series, and we each predict who will win and why. Are we Homer Guys or worried naysayers? Listen to find out.

Hear all of this and more in the newest GCS. Aside from the occasional bonus emergency episode, a new show drops every Monday morning at 7 ET on Apple Podcasts, Spotify -- wherever you pod, including of course at miamiherald.com. Find our entire show catalog with all 168 episodes HERE. (The show also simulcasts on Sirius XM radio Mondays from 5 to 6 p.m.).

Our podcast debuted in March 2020 just before the pandemic hit. (Coincidence; don’t blame us). We thank you all, pod family, for your great and growing support. Please continue to listen, rate, review, follow and tell your friends, too! We now also have a teaser video out each week on the Miami Herald YouTube channel to preview the latest episode. Check it out.

Also visit thegregcoteshow.com website and click “Shop” for our merch store. We have new designs out including our Nice Hat! designs that set record sales last week thanks to you all! We also have Jumpin’ Charlie/Baaaaay items as well as signature merch featuring Greg’s Lobos, the GCS logo, Nellie’s Diner and the Greg “Floating Head.” (ShoppinIt.) Also check out our podcast’s new YouTube channel.
