The Greg Cote Show podcast digs into 2023 with its second episode of the new year, and this one brings you double-barreled fun and excitement: Special guest Tony Kornheiser (no, seriously!) of ESPN and Pardon The Interruption, and our NFL playoffs correspondent Chris Cote reporting live from Buffalo if he can stop his teeth from chattering long enough to speak.

Kornheiser was heard on our show recently -- sort of, for about 15 seconds -- but now we have him on for real as an actual guest for an actual conversation and, folks ... it was worth the wait!

We chat with Tony about why he hates Zoom and technology in general; what he wants his grandkids to call him; his upcoming 50th wedding anniversary; playing golf with then-president Obama; what annoys him about Dan Le Batard; whether he’s thinking about retirement and more.

Tony is a curmudgeon and a delight -- the prefect combination.

Our famed producer/son/cohost Chris flew to Buffalo to rep the show from the Dolphins’ first playoff game in six years on Sunday, and we’ll hear a live report from him after the game unless he is A) too drunk to remember to call us, or B) entombed in a block of ice from being in Buffalo in January.

(Chris’ appearance was cut short, for an unexpected reason you’ll hear - but friend-of-the-show Juju Gotti (also at the Dolphins game) swoops in.)

Also in the new episode:

An offbeat tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. as our new episode drops on MLK Day; Dad joke of the week; a brand new ‘Three Facts, Jack!’ and more.

Hear all of this and more in our second episode of ‘23 and 148th overall, and we welcome you back as always.

Aside from the occasional bonus emergency episode, a new Greg Cote Show drops every Monday morning at 7 on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and wherever else you pod, including of course at miamiherald.com.
