Greg Cote Show podcast: Greg reveals health scare, Uncle Dick visits -- and live from Heat Game 7
Is the Greg Cote Show the hardest working podcast in show business? We stake a claim with our newest episode, out now.
While many other podcasts (including the Le Batard Show, not to name names) are taking time off because of the long Memorial Day weekend, the GCS is out with a new edition Monday as usual. Not only that -- we were up recording past midnight Sunday ahead of our early a.m. drop in order to include stuff on the big Heat-Celtics Game 7 in Miami.
Greg and Chris were both in the arena and bring you a live postgame report!
This is our 24th episode of 2022 and our 115th overall and we welcome you back as always.
In addition to fresh Heat stuff from the biggest game of the season, also in the latest episode:
▪ Greg explains why he’s been off the Le Batard Show lately with a health update, and defends himself when Chris asks why he appeared on Tony Kornheiser’s podcast last week one day after skipping Le Batard. Greg also shares details of a recent health scare in which paramedics were called.
▪ In a spinoff of our popular “Greg Doesn’t Know Movies” segment, the famous Uncle Dick Cote drops by to take the “Uncle Dick Doesn’t Know Pop Culture” challenge. Can he possibly be as bad at basic current events as Greg is at movies? Let’s find out.
▪ The Father-Son Cote Olympics continues with the latest event: Tennis. Will Greg love the result? Or will Chris net yet another win?
▪ Greg detours from the usual frivolity to speak from the heart on the tragic mass shooting at the Texas elementary school.
▪ Also, remember: We have new items out now -- Nellie’s Diner T-shirts and Greg Cote “Floating Head” T-shirts -- at our website’s merchandise store. Check it all out at ShoppinIt.
Hear all of this and more in our latest podcast! A new episode drops every Monday morning at 7 ET on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and wherever else you pod, including of course at miamiherald.com. Find the entire GCS catalog with all 115 episodes HERE. (The show also simulcasts on Sirius XM radio Mondays from 5 to 6 p.m.).
Our podcast debuted in March 2020, just before the pandemic hit. (Sorry, don’t blame us). We thank you all, our pod family, for your great and growing support. Please continue to listen, rate, review, follow, then unfollow and follow again and so on. It isn’t cheating, and it helps us a bunch. Tell your friends, too!
Also, we now have a teaser video out each week on the Miami Herald YouTube channel to preview the latest episode. Check it out.
