Greg Cote Show podcast: Wilt author on 100-point game, 20,000 women. Plus chatting Le Batard musical
The Greg Cote Show wants to surprise you every week and so, in our new episode out now, we bring you acclaimed author Gary Pomerantz to share wonderful details about maybe the single greatest individual game in sports history on the feat’s 60th anniversary.
Pomerantz wrote “Wilt, 1962: The Night Of 100 Points & The Dawn Of A New Era.” In a conversation with Greg and Chris he talks about the game, why hardly anybody was watching it, and how it changed history. Also, the fascinating story behind the only known photograph from that historic-yet-oddly-overlooked accomplishment.
Also, we ask the author if Wilt’s boast of having slept with 20,000 women is truth or myth. And he reveals the answer.
This is our 11th episode of 2022 and our 102nd overall and we welcome you back as always.
Also in the the new episode:
▪ Greg’s wife has been out of town for a week, and he shares that something might or might not make him a bad husband.
▪ The bizarre reason Greg never (never) walks around his house naked even he’s when the only person there.
▪ Yeti Blanc, our resident musician, leads an impassioned analysis of the Le Batard Show’s newly released musical.
▪ Hear the debut of our newest podcast sponsor, Lobos Mints.
