The newly minted Super Bowl matchup? Tom Brady’s (reported) retirement? Yeah, yeah. We get around to those fairly large NFL stories, too.

But the Greg Cote Show podcast has its priorities in order, and so our new episode, out now, takes its main cue from the Olympic Winter Games starting this week in Beijing, despite the world still being under the cloud of COVID and the host nation’s abysmal record on human rights record suggesting the International Olympic Committee had to be drunk in awarding the Games to China.

Anyhow, Greg disrespects and insults perhaps the most beloved sport in the Winter Games, as we introduce (with appropriate fanfare): “The Greg Cote Show Non-Sports Olympics!”

Greg, Chris and Yeti nominate and describe events from our own lives that aren’t sports but are in some bizarre way competitive. (Teaser: One of Greg’s events is the Toe Lift).

We know that everyone listening, all of you, have your own little weird things you do at home or work that might qualify. That’s why in this episode we offer a hotline to call in and record a message with your nominated event, and we’ll play some of the best ones next week. So have fun!

This is our 6th episode of 2022 and 97th overall, and we welcome you back.

Also in the the new episode:

We make fun of Minnie Mouse trading in her trademark red polka-dot dress for a sensible pantsuit. Well, Greg does, anyway.

Greg, in the midst of escalating his beef with self-important #BuzzkillBilly Corben, gets an unexpected phone call from Dan Le Batard -- Corben’s enabler -- and airs the call live on the podcast.

A new M.G! The Mount Gregmore of Silliest Winter Olympic Sports.

Finally, yes, we chew over the newly minted Super Bowl matchup and the end for G.O.A.T of all G.O.A.T.’s Tom Brady. We did this part of the show late Sunday night from the Le Batard Show watch-party event on South Beach, so expect anything including random drop-bys.
