Greg Cote Show podcast: At Le Batard Show’s ‘Menos Miami’ fan event. And what I couldn’t say onstage

@leefeiner on Twitter and IG

The latest episode of the Greg Cote Show podcast, out now, takes you behind the scenes at the Dan Le Batard Show With Stugotz “Menos Miami” fan event this past weekend at Blackbird Ordinary in Miami.

It includes Greg’s live, on-stage performance, along with heckling Chris, that was supposed to be 10 minutes but was interrupted halfway through because the program ran long and had to end by 11 p.m.. Hear Dan storm the stage and cut off Greg — nearly hard-network-out style — along with a closing salute to the fans by Mike Ryan.

And, in a podcast exclusive, you will hear some of Greg’s planned routine from the event that he didn’t get to say, including the reading of a very important statement from the National Respect The Pumpkin Foundation that might impact the planned Greg vs. Jessica Smetana pumpkin carve-off on Tuesday’s Le Batard Show.

This is our 43rd podcast of 2021 and jubilee 85th overall and we welcome you back as always!

Also in the new episode:

A nostalgic celebration of 2021 Toy Hall of Fame inductees American Girl doll and board game Risk. And the third inductee is the greatest of all. Is it nature’s only real toy?

The GCS dispatches assistant producer Yeti Blanc to Atlanta for a live report from the Braves’ World Series championship parade. Favorite line: “Blooper’s humping the air like a madman!”

The disputed correct pronunciation of the word “Tuesday.”

Greg and Chris with a sentimental homage to Villa Rose pizzeria, closing after more than 50 years at the same location where they live.

Bird Bird gets the COVID vaccine.

Wacky weekend in the NFL including Dolphins winning despite five turnovers. (And is Greg looking for an exit ramp on the Tua Tagovailoa bandwagon...?) Oh, and Chris claims Miami is a Heat and Panthers town now. Greg sets him straight.

An update as Greg’s Lobos stampede toward a record season in PFPI Fantasy football.

Finally, as Christmas and gift-wrapping loom into view, the guys tackle the polarizing matter of bows.

Hear all of this and more in our latest episode of The GCS! (Find the entire catalog HERE). A new episode drops every Monday morning at 7 a.m. on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google, Stitcher — all free, wherever and whenever you do your podding, including of course at Miamiherald.com.

The show also simulcasts on Sirius XM radio Mondays firom 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Our podcast debuted March 2, 2020, just before the pandemic hit (coincidence, don’t blame us), and overwhelming support from our loyal and growing family of listeners nationwide and beyond has been terrific, humbling and much appreciated.

Thank you all so much, pod family. Please continue to listen, rate, review, follow, then unfollow and follow again and so on. It isn’t cheating, and it helps us lots. Tell your friends, too!
