COWBOYS’ PRESCOTT EDGES BILLS’ ALLEN FOR WEEK 2 TITLE; SEAHAWKS’ WILSON MAINTAINS SEASON LEAD IN MIAMI HERALD’S NFL QUARTERBACK RANKINGS: Defending season champion Dak Prescott of Dallas edges Buffalo’s Josh Allen by 51.50 points to 50.85 to win Week 2 in the Miami Herald’s Passer Success System NFL quarterback rankings. Seattle’s Russell Wilson holds onto his overall season lead, with Allen blasting past Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers into second place. Dolphin Ryan Fitzpatrick climbs nine big spots to 23rd and could challenge for the Top 20 this week. This is the 23rd year for our annual rankings, which began in 1998 — Steve Young the inaugural season champion. Our rankings factor accuracy, passing yardage, touchdown/interception ratio and team result. They are passer ratings only and do not include a QB’s running statistics. Most major passer rankings including the NFL’s and ESPN’s are percentile based, allowing players who miss half a season to still win a title.
