Podcast: New Greg Cote Show welcomes expert guests on NBA/Heat restart, Marlins’ COVID craziness

Sports! We have actual sports to talk about! Well, sort of. The Greg Cote Show podcast’s exciting new Episode 22, out now, welcomes in a couple of special guests in ESPN basketball expert Amin Elhassan and Miami Herald baseball beat writer Jordan McPherson.

Elhassan talks about the NBA’s Bubble-icious restart and the Miami Heat’s promising reopening as we try to goad Amin into predicting Heat will reach the NBA Finals. (Also, a very importance discussion about leftovers in the fridge).

McPherson, who officially has the weirdest job in the world right now, comes to you from the epicenter of a global pandemic, trying to cover a team derailed by a COVID-19 outbreak. Via Zoom.

Hard times, but you know we’ll have our fun anyway.

Greg and Chris talk over a bunch of other stuff including staring down Hurricane Isaias, anti-maskers, the flipped script on national anthem kneeling, the outlook for football in the fall and more.

Can’t forget: We also have the new edition of the controversial Mount Gregmore Name Game -- the F’s. See why this week’s makes Gregmore history.

Hear all of this and more in the new Greg Cote Show Episode 23! Find a new episode out every Monday morning on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google, Stitcher, Megaphone and wherever else you do your podding, including of course at MiamiHerald.com. We began this venture in March, and support from our loyal, growing pod family of listeners has been tremendous. Thank you all so much, and please continue to subscribe, rate and review.
