Podcast: The Greg Cote Show talks Father’s Day with ESPN star Dan Le Batard and his dad, Papi

The Greg Cote Show With Greg Cote podcast’s Episode 17 is out now in the wake of Father’s Day, and we’re happy to take a break from the headlines — from the pandemic, nationwide protests and no sports — to consider and appreciate fatherhood.

I talk about my own father and what he meant to me, while Christopher talks about growing up with me as a dad and how 2 1/2 years of being a new father himself have shaped his outlook on life.

And we welcome to the podcast two very special guests in Miami-based ESPN star Dan Le Batard — host of the “Dan Le Batard Show With Stugotz” and “Highly Questionable” — and his father Gonzalo — better known to most as the beloved “Papi.”

Our lengthy conversation with Dan and Papi takes turns intimate and funny. We also ask Papi, who can be shy off the air and seldom agrees to interviews such as this, why he elected to leave Dan’s “Highly Questionable” show, and whether he might return. (His answer might surprise you).

Le Batard Show fans will especially want to hear this unusually personal Greg Cote Show Episode 17! Find a new episode out every Monday morning on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Megaphone and wherever else you do your podding, including of course at MiamiHerald.com.
