Live blog: Miami Dolphins add undrafted rookies. Here’s who agreed to terms

Here’s our annual blog updating the Dolphins’ rookie free agent signings in the hours after the NFL Draft.

10:20 p.m.: Illinois defensive end/outside linebacker Owen Carney agreed to terms with the Dolphins, per his agency, Milk and Honey Sports.

Carney, who’s 6-3 and 265 pounds, had 44 tackles, including 7.5 for loss, and six sacks last season.

He had 19 tackles for loss and 14.5 sacks in five seasons for the Illini. Carney attended Miami Central High.

9:15 p.m. update: Nebraska defensive lineman Ben Stille is signing with the Dolphins, according to the Cornhuskers. He had 29.5 tackles for loss and 14.5 sacks in five seasons at Nebraska.

Last season, the 6-5, 295-pound Stille - who can play defensive end and defensive tackle - had 42 tackles, including six for loss, 1.5 sacks and three passes defended.

He’s skilled at batting down passes and had seven passes defended at Nebraska.

9 p.m. update: Idaho State receiver Tanner Conner is signing with Miami, according to his school.

He had 34 receptions for 685 yards and three TDs in just six games last season. He had 34 catches for 685 yards and three touchdowns in 2020.

He was a state hurdle champion in high school in Washington.

8:45 p.m.: UM defensive end Deandre Johnson is signing with the Dolphins, according to his one of his agents, Michael Celli.

Johnson, who attended Miami Southridge High, had 26 tackles, including 8.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks in his one season at Miami.

Before that, he played four seasons at Tennessee and had 10 sacks there.

He took a “30” visit with Arizona and impressed the Dolphins at their local workout day.

8:35 p.m. update: Virginia Tech and Clemson defensive tackle Jordan Williams agreed to terms with Miami, a source confirmed.

Last season, he played in 11 games, making six starts at defensive tackle and had 28 tackles, including three for loss, and 1.5 sacks.

Before that, he played three seasons at Clemson and had 55 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, two pass breakups and a forced fumble.

8:25 update: According to a source, the Dolphins are signing Louisiana Tech defensive back Elijah Hamilton, a cornerback/safety who played his first three seasons at Vanderbilt and his final season at Louisiana Tech.

Campbell, 6-2, had four passes defended and no interceptions in his career.

The Dolphins will have him begin his career focusing on playing safety.

8:20 update: The Dolphins are signing Mississippi wide receiver Braylon Sanders, who caught 24 passes for 549 yards and four touchdowns last season.

8 p.m. update: The Dolphins have added a center, agreeing to terms with Arkansas’ Ty Clary. He played right tackle, right guard and center last season.

In 2020, he made making five starts at right guard and two at center.

7:50 p.m. update: The Dolphins are signing one of the draft’s intriguing small school prospects, Texas A&M Commerce cornerback Kader Kohou, according to a source. The Dolphins reportedly are giving him $130,000 guaranteed.

He ran a 4.45 in the 40 yard dash and also was on the track team.

7:45 p.m. update: FIU punter Tommy Heatherly is signing with the Dolphins, he announced. Veteran Thomas Morstead is the favorite to be the Dolphins punter.

Heatherly averaged 46.4 yards per punt last season and 44.8 in three years at FIU.

7:30 update: The Dolphins are signing South Carolina running back Zaquandre White. He had 88 carries for 583 yards last season, a 6.6 per carry average. He also caught 19 passes for 202 yards.

White was a top-150 overall recruit nationally coming out of North Fort Myers High School in Florida, committed to FSU and moved from running back to linebacker as a freshman, playing on special teams in 11 games.

He transferred to Iowa Western Community College to get on the field as a running back and was a first-team junior college All-American, averaging 6.4 yards on 137 carries.

He transferred to South Carolina in 2020 and started six games last season.

7:28 update: The Dolphins are signing Oregon safety Verone McKinley III, according to his agents. He had 11 interceptions in four seasons, including six last season.

He’s the second ball-hawking Duck to be added by the Dolphins in the past two years, following last year’s selection of safety Jevon Holland in the second round.

McKinley had 77 tackles and a forced fumble last season.

7:10 pm update: The Dolphins are adding multiple offensive linemen, including Minnesota’s Blaise Andries and Arizona State’s Kellen Diesch.

Diesch was the highest-rated tackle in the Pac-12 last season, per Pro Football Focus. The year before, he was the 18th-highest-graded tackle in among Power Five schools and second in the Pac-12, according to that web site.

Diesch is a two-year starter with 16 career starts at left tackle for Arizona State, which operated a pro-style, run-heavy offensive scheme. He previously played at Texas A&M.

Andries played every position expect center at Minnesota. He had five starts at left tackle, 11 at left guard, 21 at right guard and nine at right tackle.

Miami has been pursuing multiple centers (update: they signed Clary), but as of 7 p.m. wasn’t involved in the pursuit of Alec Lindstrom, who played for the Dolphins’ new offensive line coach Matt Applebaum at Boston College. Lindstrom agreed to terms with the Dallas Cowboys.
