Salguero Super Bowl 52 prediction: Patriots or Eagles?
MINNEAPOLIS -- We are minutes before Super Bowl 52 on the most frigid Super Bowl Sunday in NFL history (it was six-below this morning and it’s at 0 now). And since today is something of a party day and an unofficial national holiday let’s have some fun.
Let’s get some predictions going ...
You can leave yours in the comments section that follows this post.
Me? I’m going to put myself out there right now:
Eagles 28
Patriots 24
And who cares, right? It’s just a prediction. I don’t know anything.
But I do know this:
I got the winner right last year. And, yeah, I banged the exact score dead on, too.
Patriots 34

Falcons 28
Yeah, notice the time.
(I only wish I had stayed confident when the Patriots were down 28-3, but we’ll ignore that.)
So I’m putting my streak of one on the line. I’m also thinking that this smoke and mirror New England team I’ve watched all season is very good. But not great.
Look, these Patriots have been to eight Super Bowls since 2001, including today. They’ve won five so far and might win a sixth.
But I look at this team and see the least talented New England defense of all their Super Bowl defenses. I see an offense with no consistent run game.
I see the worst Patriots team of their dynasty era.
And, make no mistake, they’re obviously very good. They’re here.
But getting here isn’t the thing. The goal is winning and I see the Eagles as a more complete team -- despite the fact they’re underdogs.
Now, remember to leave your predictions. You’ll be on the record forever.
Enjoy the game.
