Florida Panthers center Sasha Barkov is in the running for the cover of EA Sports’ NHL 17 video game and is now a finalist for the NHL’s Lady Byng Memorial Trophy.

Barkov, 20, led the Panthers with 28 goals this season while accumulating just eight penalty minutes.

On Saturday, Barkov was named one of three finalists for the annual award which goes to the player who “exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability.”

In 2012, Florida defenseman Brian Campbell became the only player in franchise history to win the award.

Barkov’s eight penalty minutes were fewest among the top 50 scorers in the league this past season.

Los Angeles forward Anze Kopitar and Boston’s Loui Eriksson are the other two finalists.

The award is voted on by the Professional Hockey Writers’ Association and the winner will be announced at the NHL Awards Show at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on June 22.

Jaromir Jagr could join his linemate in Vegas as he is the Panthers’ nominee for the Bill Masterton Trophy. The finalists for that award will be announced Sunday.
