Want to join the hunt? Panthers playoff tickets go on sale starting later this week
The Florida Panthers are headed to the Stanley Cup playoffs for only the eighth time in their 29-year history, and this might be their best team ever, sitting atop the Eastern Conference with only 13 games to go.
The 2022 Stanley Cup playoffs will begin next month, and single-game tickets to watch the Panthers’ run in person will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Fans can purchase tickets through Ticketmaster or by visiting FloridaPanthers.com. Exclusive presales will begin Monday, and fans can gain access by signing up for the team’s “‘93 Society” newsletter.
Playoff merchandise is also already on sale at FLATeamShop.com.
Although the full postseason schedule won’t be announced until the field is set, Florida will almost certainly open the Cup playoffs at FLA Live Arena in Sunrise as it entered Monday with a nine-point lead on everyone else in the Atlantic Division.
The Panthers are the first team to clinch a playoff berth. They locked up their spot Sunday by beating the Buffalo Sabres, 5-3, and are now headed to the playoffs for the third year in a row for the first time in franchise history.
Last year, Florida lost in six games to the eventual-champion Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round and also lost in six games in the qualifying round of the expanded 2020 Stanley Cup playoffs. The Panthers have not won a playoff series since they went to the 1996 Stanley Cup Finals in their third year of existence.
On Sunday, Florida also set a franchise record for wins in a single season and the Panthers can set the franchise’s single-season points record as soon as Tuesday when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs at 7 p.m. in South Florida. The Panthers have also set single-season franchise records for home wins and goals this year, and are on pace to set a single-season franchise record for road wins.
