Super Bowl

An FSU alum just won a Super Bowl and now he’s paying for every dog at an animal shelter

Florida State alumnus Derrick Nnadi is a Super Bowl champion.

So what did he decide to do in the hours following Super Bowl 54, which was held in Miami?

The Chiefs defensive tackle is taking care of the dogs at Kansas City animal shelter.

According to the KC Pet Project, Nnadi is paying for all the adoption fees of every dog at the facility, which means anyone looking to adopt a dog can do so for free thanks to Nnadi’s contribution.

There are 115 dogs listed on the KC Pet Project’s adoption page as of Monday.

The Chiefs claimed their first Super Bowl in 50 years with Sunday’s 31-20 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. It was the fourth year in a row a former FSU player won the Super Bowl.
