NFL’s 2016 schedule will be released Thursday night
Time to mark your calendars so you can mark your calendars.
The NFL schedule is done. We knew that because league spokesman Brian McCarthy told us via Twitter on Wednesday afternoon.

What wasn’t known until later in the day: when the league will share that schedule with the rest of us.
That answer came late Wednesday. The league will unveil its schedule of all 256 regular-season games at 8 p.m. on Thursday. NFL Network will carry the announcement.
The league probably is smart to not waste time. For one, the NFL doesn’t want it to leak, like the NCAA basketball tournament bracket did during CBS’ announcement special back in March.
Plus, the timing is right. The league rolled out its 2015 schedule with a prime-time special last April 21.
The Dolphins know who they’ll play, and where -- just not when.
In addition to home-and-homes with their three divisional opponents (the Jets, Patriots and Bills), the Dolphins will host the Browns, Steelers, Cardinals, 49ers and Titans and visit the Ravens, Bengals, Rams, Seahawks and Chargers.
