Dolphins hold annual Kids and Fins shopping spree
It was an aqua and orange remake of Supermarket Sweep on Monday night – with local students the unquestioned winners.
The Dolphins held their yearly Kids and Fins shopping spree, a pre-Thanksgiving tradition that provides qualifying children a Publix gift card to be used on their family’s holiday meal.
More than 100 South Florida students were invited. Each team up with a Dolphins player, cheerleader, alumni or a member of the Miami Dolphins Women’s Organization, wheeling their shopping cart through a Fort Lauderdale Publix.
Ryan Tannehill, Brent Grimes, Shelley Smith and Brandon Fields were among the Dolphins players who participated.
The team’s annual Thanksgiving turkey giveaway will be held next week.
