Danny Adams, 14, was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer, in 2014 and has since undergone three surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation.
But on Wednesday, the 14-year-old son of Dolphins defensive coach “Blue” Adams, put all that behind him as he took a tricked-out, $15,000 golf cart for a spin, courtesy of Make-A-Wish Southern Florida.
The nonprofit organization partnered with Polen Capital, a boutique investment firm in Boca Raton, to grant Danny’s wish for an alternate mode of transportation.
“With the last surgery, he had some mobility issues,” said his mother, Dorothy Adams. “He wanted a golf cart so he could get around the neighborhood with the other kids.”

Black matte paint, 12-inch rims, underbody lighting and a surround-sound stereo are just some of the features on the one-of-a-kind golf cart Danny will use to get around his Weston neighborhood.
“The generosity and seflessness of others is incredible,” Dorothy said. “Today was awesome.”
