Dolphins add OL depth, sign former UFL tackle Gottlieb Ayedze

There’s a new addition in the Miami Dolphins’ offensive line room.

The Dolphins signed tackle Gottlieb Ayedze, 26, on Wednesday, the team announced via X.

This comes just days after Miami released offensive lineman Kion Smith and waived tackle Carter Warren. Ayedze most recently played 10 games with the Houston Gamblers during the 2026 UFL season.

An undrafted player out of Maryland, Ayedze initially signed to the Philadelphia Eagles after in late April 2024. He was placed on the non-football injury list in late July then subsequently waived a day later.

The Eagles would bring him back in middle of training camp — only to once again waive him just 10 days after signing.

Ayedze would later land with the Las Vegas Raiders’ practice squad prior to the team’s Week 4 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. He’d spend the rest of the 2024 season on the Raiders’ practice squad.

The Raiders would sign him to futures contract in early 2025. He would make it through OTAs and minicamp only to be subsequently waived yet again in the middle of training camp.

With the Dolphins’ backup tackles a bit unclear, Ayedze could potentially vie for an auxiliary role. Competition, after all, is the hallmark of the new Dolphins’ regime.
