Dolphins make changes within personnel, front office and player performance

There has been a bit of a shakeup within the Miami Dolphins organization.

The addition of coach Jeff Hafley and general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan have been widely reported as have the hiring of Kyle Smith as assistant general manager as well as Shaun Herock and Jon Robinson as a senior personnel executives. Others, from Jack Schneider (pro scout) to Josh Scobey (assistant director of player personnel) to Venzell Boulware (director of pro scouting), have recently joined the franchise as well.

Still, a number of hirings and promotions have recently occurred, something that the Dolphins officially announced Monday afternoon.

Some of the hirings include director of strength and conditioning Todd Hunt, assistant director of strength and conditioning Willie Jones and assistant strength and conditioning coach Ike Brown.

The Dolphins also made several changes, chief among them the previously reported promotion of Brandon Shoer, who previously served as the senior vice president of football and business administration, to executive vice president of football operations. In that role, Shoer will work alongside Hafley and Sullivan “on all aspects of football administration and operations,” per the team.

Other changes include the promotions of Matt Winston to director of player personnel, Grant Wallace to director of college scouting, Max Napolitano to vice president of football administration and strategy, Kyle Johnston to vice president of sports medicine and performance/head athletic trainer as well as Owen Hartman and Dylan Mabin to college scouts.

Several people — Boulware, Brown and Hunt — followed Sullivan and Hafley from the Packers.

Other notable nuggets include Herock coming with nearly four decades of NFL experience in the player personnel department and Schneider being the son of Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider.
