Dolphins select Mizzou WR Kevin Coleman Jr. in fifth round of 2026 NFL Draft

The Miami Dolphins picked Mizzou WR Kevin Coleman Jr. with the 177th pick of the 2026 NFL Draft.

This was the second of three picks — Nos. 158, 177 and 180 — in the fifth round.

With Miami in need of receiver help ahead of the 2026 season, the Dolphins took their third of the draft after previously selecting Texas Tech’s Caleb Douglas and Louisville’s Chris Bell on day two.

Coleman, who measured in at 5 foot 10 inches and 179 pounds, specializes in the slot and could provide immediate help as a return specialist. In his final collegiate season, he led the team in both catches (66) and receiving yards (732).

“He’s just a playmaker,” said Matt Winston, the Dolphins’ director of college scouting. “He has a great feel for the game. A little more undersized than some of the other receivers we’ve taken but very tough.”

The receiver attended four schools — Jackson State, Louisville, Mississippi State and Mizzou — during his collegiate career. His best year, however, came during his junior season in which he posted career highs in receptions (74), receiving yards (932) and touchdowns (six).
