Minutes after Dolphins release, star edge rusher Bradley Chubb signs with Bills
The Miami Dolphins will now have to face Bradley Chubb twice a year.
Minutes after the Dolphins made the edge rusher’s release official, Chubb signed a three-year, $43.5 million deal with the Buffalo Bills, according to multiple reports. Approximately $29 million is guaranteed.
Chubb now joins a Bills squad that will look to snatch the AFC East crown after the New England Patriots took it and ran all the way to the Super Bowl.
In his three seasons in Miami, Chubb racked up 22 sacks, nine forced fumbles and 133 combined tackles.
The star edge rusher arrived in Miami via trade during the 2022 season. Chubb was amidst a Pro Bowl season in 2023 — 11 sacks, six forced fumbles and 22 quarterback hits — before he suffered a gruesome knee injury. Late in the fourth quarter of a lopsided loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 17, the two-time Pro Bowler tore his anterior cruciate ligament, patella tendon and meniscus in his right knee.
Chubb would miss the entire 2024 season.
In 2025, Chubb returned a found some semblance of his old self. Not only did he start all 17 games, he finished with 8.5 sacks, 47 combined tackles and a pair of forced fumbles.
Chubb will now join a vaunted defense that includes fellow edge rusher Greg Rousseau as well as defensive tackle Ed Oliver and cornerback Christian Benford.
