Greg Duclich re-signs with Dolphins, strengthens tight end room

Tight end Greg Dulcich will return to the Miami Dolphins.

The 25-year-old free agent signed a one-year deal worth $3.25 million, a team source confirmed.

Dulcich appeared in 10 games in 2025, starting three. He provided somewhat of a spark in the tight end room, especially late in the season, finishing with 26 catches for 335 yards and a touchdown.

“He is a very good football player with the nuances of getting leverage on defenders, how to be able to separate from them with an understanding of the timing of the play,” former coach Mike McDaniel said. “Then he is a tough guy to tackle. I knew his hands and ball skills and route running were good.”

Dulcich has been something of journeyman since the Denver Broncos selected him in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He had a tremendous start to his rookie campaign, appearing in 10 games but catching 33 balls for 411 yards and two touchdowns.

A hamstring injury limited him to just two games in 2023. Four games into the 2024 season, the Broncos traded him to the New York Giants, a team with which he never even registered a catch.

The Dolphins initially signed Dulcich to the practice squad in late August but quickly promoted him to the 53-man roster. He especially blossomed with rookie signal caller Quinn Ewers at the helm for the final three-game stretch, registering 11 catches for 135 yards and a score.

“He’s very reliable,” Ewers said. “We have a great tight end room, and it’s always nice to have good, big-bodied tight ends with sure hands like him.”

With Dulcich set to return to South Florida, he’ll have every chance to make his case to be a starter. As of this writing, the Dolphins’ tight end room includes three other players in Jalin Conyers, Cole Turner and Zack Kuntz. Only one - Turner - has ever recorded a catch in an NFL game.

The Dolphins also have two additional free agent tight ends in Darren Waller and Julian Hill. Time will tell whether the duo elects to also return to Miami.
