Dolphins LB Jordyn Brooks gets second AFC defensive player of the week honor

Talk about well-deserved.

Miami Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week after his monstrous performance in the 16-13 victory over the Washington Commanders. His 20 tackles (10 solo) not led all defensive players in Week 11 but set a season high.

This is the second time that Brooks won the honor in 2025. His previous recognition came after he recorded 18 tackles during the Dolphins’ Week 4 win over the New York Jets. Brooks also happens to be the first Dolphins player to record multiple games with more than 18 tackles in a season since 2000 and the first player to do it leaguewide since the Denver Broncos’ Alex Singleton in 2022.

Brooks’ 20 tackles were the most on international soil since the NFL began to play regular-season games in 2005.
