Where does your favorite player land on the Miami Dolphins depth chart?

The Miami Dolphins released their first depth chart ahead of Sunday’s preseason opener against the Chicago Bears.

There really weren’t any surprises.

Only three positions — both outside cornerback spots and safety — were up for grabs coming into training camp. One spot will go to undrafted, sophomore corner Storm Duck, one of the more impressive standouts so far, while 2019 fourth-round pick Kendall Sheffield will occupy the other.

As far as who will line up at safety opposite of Minkah Fitzpatrick, Ashtyn Davis will get the first crack, according to the depth chart. The thing is, Davis suffered an unknown lower leg injury that has him currently walking around in a boot. Ifeatu Melifonwu, who began training camp on the non-football injury list, comes in as the second safety behind Davis while Elijah Campbell will back up Fitzpatrick.

Other revelations include the Dolphins confirmation that veteran lineman Austin Jackson and James Daniels will protect quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s blind side. The young guns — sophomore tackle Patrick Paul and rookie guard Jonah Savaiinaea — will hold down the left.

And as much as fans thought the rookie Quinn Ewers would be Tagovailoa’s backup, it looks like the honor will belong to former No. 2 overall pick Zach Wilson.
