Offensive tackles Terron Armstead, Kendall Lamm return to practice
The Miami Dolphins’ starting offensive line could be back.
Terron Armstead was seen at practice Friday for roughly the second time in two months, a sign that he could potentially suit up against the San Francisco 49ers. The Pro Bowl left tackle stretched during the short window of practice available to the media.
Armstead has dealt with a right knee injury for months. A few plays into the Dec. 8 New York Jets game, that same knee forced him to exit early. He hasn’t started a game since.
The 12-year veteran’s appearance at is a welcome sign for the offensive line considering Kendall Lamm (back) logged consecutive practices on Thursday and Friday. Miami listed Lamm as questionable ahead of the Houston Texans game but the left tackle ultimately didn’t suit up. Lamm took over for Austin Jackson who had season-ending knee surgery in November.
And while there certainly might be other changes along the offensive line on the horizon, it’s certainly a good sign that the starting tackles could play against the 49ers’ stellar pass rushing unit.
