Dolphins hold off on Chubb move and two others but make one transaction before Jets game
The Dolphins on Saturday decided to hold off on activating outside linebackers Bradley Chubb and Cameron Goode, who this past week both began practicing on a limited basis for the first time since sustaining knee injuries late last season.
Both players will remain on the physically unable to perform list for at least another week.
Teams have 21 days to activate players off the PUP list or the injured reserve list after they begin practicing. Saturday was day four for the practice windows for Chubb, Goode and long snapper Blake Ferguson.
Instead of activating Ferguson from the non-football injury list on Saturday, the Dolphins instead elevated long snapper Zach Triner from their practice squad.
Triner’s elevation was Miami’s only roster move on Saturday.
While Chubb, Goode and Ferguson will miss Sunday’s game against the visiting Jets (1 p.m., CBS), all are at least possibilities to return Dec. 15 at Houston.
