Jevón Holland (hand/ knee) is doubtful while three players — wide receiver River Cracraft (shoulder), cornerback Storm Duck (ankle) and fullback Alec Ingold (fullback) — are questionable.
What’s the significance of Sunday’s game?
The Dolphins’ season is on the line.
As much as fans — and owner Stephen Ross — hoped that the Dolphins would be near the top of the playoff race at the beginning, injuries and lackluster offense have resulted in a measly 2-6 record.
Put differently, Miami’s margin for error is very small. Although the Dolphins have not mathematically been eliminated from playoff contention, the New York Jets’ 21-13 victory over the Houston Texans certainly means the pressure is officially on Miami.
The Dolphins now must do something that they haven’t done since 2016: beat the Bills in upstate New York. It’s not impossible but injuries to key defensive starters make Sunday’s game all the more challenging. Remember, Josh Allen still hasn’t lost to the Dolphins at home.
There’s a first time for everything and considering how the last Bills matchup went, the Dolphins should be hungry for revenge. Sunday will certainly be interesting to say the least.
