Miami Dolphins

Here’s final wild card playoff schedule. And how to watch the Dolphins-KC ‘Peacock’ game

The Dolphins will open the playoffs on Saturday night in a game that will be available in fewer television homes than any playoff game in many years.

Miami will play at Kansas City at 8 p.m. Saturday on Peacock, NBC’s streaming service.

The game also will air on NBC-6 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale.

This will be the first NFL playoff game ever aired exclusively on a streaming service, at least outside of South Florida.

Peacock costs $5.99 per month for the Premium option or $11.99 per month for Premium Plus. Some cable systems occasionally offer a free trial for Peacock.

But the NFL has a policy that games on streaming services or cable channels also be televised on a “free TV” station in the home markets. That’s why NBC-6 can carry the Dolphins-Chiefs game in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties on Saturday.

If Miami had beaten Buffalo on Sunday, the Dolphins would have played at home at 1 p.m. Sunday against Buffalo. Instead, the Dolphins will open at the defending champion Chiefs, on a short week, no less.

Here’s when the other wild card games will be played:

Cleveland will play at Houston at 4:30 p.m. Saturday on NBC.

Pittsburgh will play at Buffalo at 1 p.m. on Sunday on CBS.

Green Bay will play Dallas at 4:30 p.m. Sunday on Fox.

Detroit will play the Rams at 8:20 p.m. Sunday on NBC.

Philadelphia will play Tampa Bay at 8:15 p.m. Monday on ABC and ESPN.
