The Dolphins were without multiple starters for their first home “Monday Night Football” game since 2017.

Safety Jevon Holland and left tackle Terron Armstead were inactive for the team’s game against the Tennessee Titans, a 28-27 loss.

Both players, listed as questionable to play, were noncommittal about their availability for the prime-time matchup. It was the second straight missed game for Holland, who injured his knees against the New York Jets in Week 12, and his third of the season. It was the seventh missed game of the season for Armstead, who injured his ankle against the Washington Commanders.

Brandon Jones made his fourth start of the season in place of Holland, and Kendall Lamm started in place of Armstead.

The Dolphins also made the following players inactive: right guard Robert Hunt (hamstring), quarterback Skylar Thompson (emergency QB), cornerback Eli Apple and tight end Tyler Kroft.

Note

Practice squad linebacker Alexander Johnson, who was placed on the practice squad/injured list last Friday, posted on Instagram on Monday that he tore his Achilles.

Johnson was a candidate to be elevated from the practice squad with linebacker Jerome Baker on injured reserve because of a knee injury.
