Who’s active, who’s not for Dolphins’ road game vs. Commanders
Key contributors on offense returned for the Dolphins’ road game against the Washington Commanders on Sunday, but a standout on defense was sidelined.
Rookie running back De’Von Achane (knee) was active, while safety Jevon Holland (knees) was out for the Week 13 matchup, a 45-15 win for Miami.
Achane, who was listed as questionable to play, was back in the lineup after missing Miami’s game against the New York Jets on Black Friday. He aggravated his knee injury against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 11 after missing the previous four games on injured reserve.
It’s the second missed game of the season for Holland, who injured his knees against the Jets. Brandon Jones started in his place.
Offensive linemen Terron Armstead, Lester Cotton and Kendall Lamm were all active after being listed as questionable. Robert Hunt also returned to his starting spot at guard after the team kept him in a reserve role against the Jets because of a hamstring injury. Hunt, though, aggravated his hamstring injury in the game. Armstead also sustained an ankle injury that forced him to miss the second half.
Outside linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul, who signed with the team on Tuesday, is active and made his team debut. He did not record a stat.
Miami also made the following players inactive: offensive lineman Robert Jones (knee), wide receiver Robbie Chosen, tight end Tyler Kroft, cornerback Eli Apple and quarterback Skylar Thompson (emergency QB).
