Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill receives another fine – but not for a uniform violation this time

Just days after wide receiver Tyreek Hill revealed he’s been fined by the NFL multiple times for uniform violations, the league announced he was fined for another infraction.

The NFL fined Hill $10,927 for unsportsmanlike conduct during his 69-yard touchdown against the New York Giants. Hill threw up the peace sign, as he’s often done in his career, as he headed into the end zone.

On Thursday, Hill said he would comply with NFL rules after receiving multiple fines for uniform violations. While he wrote on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account that he was fined more than $100,000 for the infractions, NFL Network reported that the total is less than what Hill claimed but “significant.” Hill has been fined for not wearing socks as part of his uniform.

Hill explained his reasoning for not wearing socks.

“I get IVs before games and sometimes the timing doesn’t allow me to put on socks at times and I don’t want to miss plays or sometimes I have socks and it doesn’t cover a certain length,” he said.

Hill was flagged for taunting on the touchdown after he headed into the stands to give the football to his mother, but he was not fined.
