The Dolphins opened the first day of a three-day minicamp this week without a key starter.
Center Connor Williams was not at the first mandatory session Tuesday, and head coach Mike McDaniel said it is not an excused absence. McDaniel said he has been in communication with Williams, who started every game at center last season as is entering the final season of a two-year deal he signed last offseason.
