The Dolphins have lost their fifth consecutive game and are in danger of missing the playoffs after an 8-3 start. They not only need to beat the Jets at home on Sunday but need the Bills to defeat the Patriots in order to obtain the AFC’s No. 7 seed.
Elsewhere, football has taken a backseat after Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed and went into cardiac arrest during Monday night’s game against the Bengals. Hamlin was resuscitated by on-site club physicians and independent medical personnel and transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition. The NFL community has united in supporting Hamlin, his family and the Bills.
